Interesting take. Kind of feels like yeah, same here. Feels like the usual “nothing changed except everything changed” nonsense. I’ve had pages look dead in GSC while the rankings were basically just getting shoved under a pile of junk SERP crap. One affiliate page I watched last month went from fine to useless overnight, and it wasn’t even a clean drop — just clicks evaporated like Google decided nobody deserved them. I wouldn’t call it a penalty unless the whole site’s doing weird stuff. If it’s just one page, it’s usually query drift, some SERP feature garbage, or Google deciding your result is now the least interesting thing on the page. Which, honestly, is their favorite hobby.

Kind of feels like yeah, seeing it too. Same stupid wave, same junky link drops. Manual deletes barely matter if they’ve got some hole to keep crawling through.

Honestly, yeah, I’m not buying “just bad timing” either — this stuff always seems to spike right after some update or platform hiccup, then everyone acts surprised. Could be bots just sniffing around, sure, but it’s getting old fast. Okay then.

Yeah, same here. Not a total dumpster fire, but enough to make u go “oh great, here we go again.” I’ve had a couple sites where the signup junk suddenly got way more brazen this week, like the bots got bored and decided to test every form on the internet. Could be update-related, could just be one of those annoying waves that shows up and disappears when you least want it to. Either way, if it’s only started right after the update, I wouldn’t just shrug it off as coincidence. That’s usually how these things start. Just my experience.

From what I’ve seen, yeah, I’ve been seeing that too, or something close to it. A few older pages are still hanging in there but the clicks just quietly bleed off. Feels like Google’s happy to “answer” the query right in the SERP and your page gets the leftovers. Super annoying on affiliate stuff.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same kind of nonsense on one of mine. Clicks fell off, rankings barely moved, and GSC looks like it’s been drinking again. I’m not ready to blame “the update” for everything, but I also don’t trust Google’s reporting worth a damn when this starts happening. Usually it’s either some indexing weirdness or they’ve shuffled the deck and pretend it’s normal. If it’s only been a few days I’d probably wait it out before tearing the site apart. If it keeps going into next week though, then yeah, something’s off. Interesting take.

Kind of feels like yeah, same here. Honestly, Google’ll grab the dumb junk page in no time and then act like your actual content doesn’t exist for a week. Usually when I see that, it’s not some deep “quality” thing, it’s just the junk being easier to crawl/index….

Kind of feels like kind of feels like yeah, same story here. “Helpful update” my ass — feels more like they just shuffled the mess around again. I’ve got one site that got smacked, another that’s just slowly bleeding out, which is somehow even more annoying. Just my experience.

Yeah, I’m not buying the “just let it settle” thing anymore. That’s what people said last time and I ended up staring at dead charts for a week for no reason. Just my experience.

Interesting take. Okay then. Yeah, that “junk pages still hanging on while the actual money pages get smacked” thing is depressingly familiar. I wouldn’t assume it’s just a normal wobble if it was a proper cliff drop though. Google loves doing that thing where the site looks half-dead, but the wrong half survives. Super reassuring, as always. If it were me, I’d be looking at whether the hit lines up with any crawl/indexing weirdness or if it’s more of a site-wide reweight. If the pages are still getting crawled but just aren’t holding positions, that’s one story. If they’ve basically stopped getting any love at all, that’s a different headache. And yeah, I’d avoid the classic “let’s rewrite everything at 1am” move. Been there. Usually just makes you feel productive while making the mess worse.

Yeah, I’m seeing it on one of mine too, and it’s the annoying kind where nothing is *obviously* broken. One site keeps moving like normal, the other’s just sitting there acting dead. Same setup, same plugins, same content pattern, so I’m not buying the “must be your site” answer either. Google does this dumb thing where everything looks fine until it suddenly isn’t. I checked the usual boring stuff — sitemap, internal links, a couple log hits — and nothing screamed problem. But the crawl just feels lighter on the bad site, like it’s losing momentum for no real reason. Then a bunch of pages get dumped in later all at once, which somehow makes it more irritating. So yeah, you’re probably not imagining it. Feels like one of those…

To be fair, yeah, this is exactly the kind of garbage that makes the “content quality” lectures feel so fake. If a page was fine for months and then gets swapped out for Reddit sludge, that’s not some grand revelation that your comparison page suddenly became bad. It’s Google doing its usual twitchy nonsense and pretending it’s intelligence. The snippet/CTR thing is brutal too. I’ve had pages basically hold position but bleed clicks because the result got rewritten into some useless half-answer. Feels like getting punished twice for the same mess. I wouldn’t nuke the page just because of this week’s…

Interesting take. To be fair, obviously. Kind of feels like yeah, I’m not buying the “just improve content” sermon either. That expired junk popping up while the real site sits there dead is classic Google nonsense. And honestly half the time “recovery” just means it moved enough to fool people for a day or two. Seen that movie too many times.

From what I’ve seen, yeah, same here. Feels less like an “update” and more like Google just kicked the table and whatever landed face-up gets a little traffic. The expired junk thing is exactly the kind of nonsense that makes the “just write better… Sure.

Yeah, I’ve had that exact “updated a couple things and now everything feels cursed” problem more than once. Could be coincidence, sure, but I wouldn’t trust it either. One plugin update nuked my load time last year and traffic got weird for like 3 days before I even noticed anything obvious in Search Console. Annoying part is it never shows up clean, just those stupid little swings like you said. I’d definitely roll back the last update first if you can. If it’s one of those garbage weeks, at least you’ll know faster.
