ParticipantObviously. To be fair, right… Yeah, same general garbage here. One site dipped hard midweek and the funny part is the rankings didn’t really move much, which makes the whole thing even more annoying. I’m not jumping straight to “update” either because Google loves doing that thing where the reporting looks broken and everyone starts writing little apocalypse posts. But if it’s still flat next week, then yeah, it’s probably not just noise.

ParticipantI mean, yeah, same here. One of mine got hammered Tuesday, then crawled back a bit, then got smacked again like Google was bored and needed a hobby. The annoying part is there’s no clean pattern anymore, just random pages wobbling around and making it impossible to tell if you actually fixed anything or if it’s just the usual nonsense. I’m not even bothering to touch much until it settles, because half the time “fixing” it just seems to give it more chances to screw around.

ParticipantYeah, same here. Feels like it comes in waves and then everybody acts surprised when it’s back again. I’m not locking things down any harder unless it gets way worse — half the time the bots just adapt and the real users end up eating the annoying stuff. At least lately.

ParticipantI mean, yeah, it’s not just you. I’ve got one site that got absolutely kneecapped and another that’s doing that annoying slow death thing again. Honestly at…

ParticipantKind of feels like yeah, I’m seeing it too. Had one affiliate page that was pulling steady for like 4 months just get slapped for no obvious reason while some thin crap page is still hanging on like it pays rent. “Wait it out” is such a lazy answer half the time. If it’s been a few weeks and the…

ParticipantYeah, same here. “Crawled” has basically turned into “we glanced at it and maybe we’ll care later.” The annoying part is the randomness — garbage gets in fast, decent stuff just sits there like it’s waiting for permission from some intern in Mountain View. And no, the usual “improve content” sermon doesn’t explain why parasite junk keeps slipping through while normal pages rot.

ParticipantYeah, I’m not buying the “u broke something” thing either, not on a one-day dip like that. Google’s been doing these stupid little mood swings way too often lately.

ParticipantI mean, i mean, yeah, same here. Not a full faceplant, just that annoying Google wobble where nothing lines up and every report looks half-broken. I’m not touching anything yet either. Last time I “fixed” stuff during one of these, Google just laughed and moved the goalposts again. Okay then.

ParticipantHonestly, honestly, yeah, that’s the fun part — rankings “stable” but clicks get nuked anyway. Love when Google moves the goalposts and then acts like nothing happened. I’d be looking at the SERP itself before touching titles again Honestly,. Half the time the snippet changes, ads creep up, or some garbage block gets added and CTR just gets crushed for no real reason. That’s been my experience anyway. Interesting take. Okay then.
meloncrash
ParticipantYep, same here. One site got smacked and the stupid old posts that haven’t been touched in forever are still sitting there like trophies. At this point I don’t even buy the “just improve content” line unless someone can show me what actually changed in the SERPs. Otherwise it’s just forum filler.

ParticipantI mean, well, yeah, same here on one site — nothing dramatic in rankings, just clicks doing that stupid little cliff dive thing. At this point I trust GSC about as far as I can throw it, so I’m not assuming “update” every time Google sneezes. If it’s still ugly in a few days then maybe there’s something real there, but right now it feels like the usual nonsense.

ParticipantYeah, I’m seeing it too. Not the fun kind of “bounce” either, just the usual Google doing laps for no reason. If it’s only a few pages swapping around, I’d still be looking at the boring stuff first. But if it’s across multiple sites, then yeah, feels like one of those lovely weeks where nobody knows anything and everyone pretends they do.

ParticipantHonestly, To be fair, yeah, same here. One of my smaller sites did that stupid little dance last week — page 3, then gone, then back like nothing happened. At this point I don’t even trust the charts enough to react fast anymore. Half the time it settles down, half the time it’s Google having one of its little episodes. At least from what I’ve seen.

ParticipantI mean, honestly, yeah, same crap here. A couple pages dipped hard and some garbage URL I forgot existed decided it was time to shine, because of course it did. I’m not calling it a real hit until it’s still ugly midweek though. Weekend stuff on Google is basically just noise… Interesting take.
meloncrash
ParticipantHonestly, yeah, same here. Another “update” and somehow the junk still hangs around while legit pages get kicked in the teeth. I’m honestly past trying to make sense of it now. It’s just random crap with a Google logo on it.
