meloncrashParticipantMy main site has been bouncing around like it had 6 coffees and a panic attack. One day page 2, next day gone, then back again for no obvious reason Kind of feels like. Same old “just make better content” advice too, which is always hilarious coming from people whose traffic graph looks like a flatline. Anyone else dealing with this or is Google… Okay then.

meloncrashParticipantHonestly, To be fair, yeah, same here. One of my smaller sites did that stupid little dance last week — page 3, then gone, then back like nothing happened. At this point I don’t even trust the charts enough to react fast anymore. Half the time it settles down, half the time it’s Google having one of its little episodes. At least from what I’ve seen.

orion_kadeParticipantYeah, seeing it too. One client site’s been doing that exact page 2 / vanished / back again nonsense for like a week. Could be the usual Google wobble, or a weak section getting re-evaluated, but I’m not buying the “just write better content” sermon either. That advice gets tossed around by people who haven’t looked at a log file in their life.

ParticipantYeah, same here. I’ve seen a couple sites do the exact page 2 → gone → back again routine lately, and it usually settles after a few days… usually. The “just improve content” crowd is exhausting, honestly. Sometimes it’s not the content, it’s Google reprocessing stuff badly or a section getting reweighted for no obvious reason. Personally,

orion_kadeParticipantIn my opinion, yeah, I’m seeing it too, and I don’t think it’s just “bad content” nonsense. Had one site bounce from top 10 to nowhere and back twice in the same week. Nothing major changed on-page, which is the annoying part. Google just seems to be re-evaluating stuff in a really sloppy way lately.

meloncrashParticipantHonestly, i mean, yeah, I’m seeing the same crap on a couple sites. It’s hard not to think Google’s just thrashing around again instead of there being some neat little content explanation for everything. And yeah, the “just make better content” crowd. At least from what I’ve seen.

DenParticipantFrom what I see, From what I’ve seen, yeah, I’m seeing it too. Not every swing is some grand “content quality” revelation either — sometimes it just feels like Google’s wobbling around on its own. If it keeps doing it for more than a few days, then I start looking at crawl/indexing weirdness, but the day-to-day bounce stuff? Pretty common lately.

DenParticipantHonestly, Yeah, I’ve seen the same kind of nonsense lately. It’s not always “your content sucks” either, despite what the usual geniuses say. If it’s bouncing hard for more than a few days, I’d start looking at crawl/indexing and internal linking weirdness. Otherwise it just feels like Google’s doing its usual drunk shuffle.

adrian_knoxParticipantYeah, same here. I wouldn’t jump straight to “content issue” either, that gets thrown around way too fast. If it’s just bouncing day to day, I’m mostly assuming Google’s being weird again unless it sticks.

PikeParticipantYeah, I’m seeing the same garbage. What’s annoying is it never looks clean enough to pin on one thing, so you end up staring at GSC like it’s gonna confess. If it stays shaky for more than a few days I start poking at internal links / crawl stuff too, but the day-to-day bouncing? feels like Google just can’t sit still lately. Fair enough.

adrian_knoxParticipantYeah, seeing it too. Been mostly treating the day-to-day swings like noise unless it keeps doing it for a week or two. The “just improve content” crowd is always weirdly confident for people who never show a chart.

ParticipantRealistically, yeah, same here. Been hard to tell if it’s just normal Google wobble or something actually off, but the “content fix everything” crowd is definitely talking out of their arse again. Honestly,
