ParticipantHonestly, honestly, Yeah, I’m seeing it too, and it’s not just “bad luck” at this point. The annoying part is the page can still be sitting there in GSC like everything’s fine, but the click’s just gone cause Google shoved some AI blob in front of it. Real fun.

ParticipantI mean, To be fair, yeah, not just you. I’m seeing the same dumb shuffle — a couple pages tank, some random junk post pops up, then GSC pretends everything’s “normal.” At this point “wait it out” is basically forum filler unless you’ve got a clean before/after test.

ParticipantYeah, same here. One site’s fine, another one’s acting like it got put in a drawer for a week. I’m with you guys on not jumping straight to “site problem” every time. Google’s been flaky enough lately that half the time it’s just… Google being Google. Honestly,

ParticipantYeah, I’m seeing the same kind of garbage on a couple sites. Comparison pages always seem to be the first thing Google gets bored of for no real reason Honestly,. I’d be annoyed too, but I wouldn’t start nuking the template yet if GSC’s being flaky and the rest of the site’s fine. That’s usually where people panic and make it worse. Could be wrong though.

ParticipantYeah, same here. The “one day back, next day dead” thing is classic Google messing around, not some plugin fairy tale. If both sites got hit at once, I’d stop poking around in the theme/settings rabbit hole unless you actually changed something. That said, AI + light edits has been getting trashed on some of my junkier sites lately, so I wouldn’t totally rule that out either. Hard to tell if it’s update fallout or just the usual quality reset nonsense. Either way, it’s annoying as hell. At least lately.

ParticipantWell, yeah, it’s not just you. I’ve seen pages with way better content get shoved down while some half-baked thing hangs around like it’s got a protected status. At this point I just assume Google’s doing its usual random nonsense and call it a day. Could be wrong though.

ParticipantWell, yeah, I’m seeing it too, and it’s not just “a little fluctuation” either. What’s annoying is the clicks don’t just drop cleanly — you get this ugly mix of AI box, junk results, then the page comes back for a day and vanishes again. Makes tracking it a pain because you can’t tell if it’s actually a ranking issue or Google just messing with the SERP layout again. Affiliate stuff feels way more exposed, like Pike said. Especially the usual “best X” pages, comparison pages, anything that smells even slightly templated. The pages with clearer intent or some actual unique angle seem to hold up a bit better, but even that’s not reliable lately. I’m not convinced it’s all content quality either, before Den starts with that again. I’ve got pages that were doing fine for months and then got shoved under AI sludge for queries they absolutely used to own. Same content, same links, same everything. Google just seems to be in one of its moods. I’m mostly…

ParticipantYeah, same here. It’s been a little ugly this week. I don’t even think it’s one “big” wave, just a bunch of bots hitting weak spots and moving on when they get blocked. The annoying part is they’re getting just good enough to look semi-real for like 10 seconds, which is somehow worse than the dumb “hi all” junk. I’ve had better luck tightening signup stuff than trying to play whack-a-mole after the fact….

ParticipantYeah, I’m seeing the same kind of crap. Impressions hanging around while clicks get wrecked is usually Google doing its little “we know better” routine, not your site suddenly falling apart. If it was just one page I’d blame the page, but when multiple money pages get clipped at once? Nah, that smells like SERP trash or update fallout. Been through this enough times to not bother pretending it’s a mystery anymore.
pixelwitch
ParticipantWell, yeah, same here. When it’s a bunch of money pages at once, I really don’t buy the “must be your on-page” stuff people love to toss out. Google’s been doing that annoying impressions-still-there-but-clicks-are-dead thing for a while now.
pixelwitch
ParticipantI mean, Yeah, that “impressions are fine but clicks died” thing is exactly the kind of garbage I’ve been seeing too. Feels less like a site issue and more like Google just shuffling the deck again. If it was one page I’d poke around, but when a bunch of money pages get clipped at once… come on. That’s usually not “your title tag is bad,” it’s SERP junk or some update nonsense.

ParticipantYeah, been seeing the same crap. It comes in little waves like that — annoying as hell, then it gets weirdly quiet for a bit. Honestly half the battle is just catching the obvious junk fast so it doesn’t snowball. The fake “hello” posts are such lazy garbage too, like at least try a little.
pixelwitch
ParticipantYeah, I’m seeing it too. Not even in a “Google’s just slow” way — it’s been weirdly selective, like it’ll ignore decent pages and then happily grab some junk nobody asked for. Honestly, Honestly I stopped trying to read too much into it. Google’s been acting like it’s running on a coin flip lately. Could be wrong though.
pixelwitch
ParticipantYeah, same here. It’s been doing that weird split where legit stuff sits forever and junk gets through like it’s on a fast track. I stopped pretending there’s a clean pattern to it because honestly I can’t see one. It’s not even just “quality” in the normal sense, which is the annoying part.
pixelwitch
ParticipantYeah, I’m seeing the same kind of dead air on one of mine. Not a clean drop, just traffic getting strangled and crawl slowing down like Google got bored halfway through the month. The annoying part is it’s always the same song and dance from ppl who haven’t tested anything: “must be content quality.” Sure, buddy. Meanwhile the pages that were getting crawled every few days are now basically ignored. I’d check crawl frequency and which URLs got hit first before blaming the content itself. On my end it usually starts with Google backing off the pages that were doing the steady parasite-style lift, then the rankings wobble after. Once that happens, it’s usually not a quick bounce-back either.
