Spam bots are getting ridiculous lately

I’m seeing way more junk signups and fake posts this week than usual. I’ve cleaned up three threads already this morning and it’s getting old fast. Anyone else dealing with this, or is it just my forum getting hammered?

Yeah, same here. Been seeing a stupid amount of junk signups the last few days, like they’re just brute-forcing every forum they can find. Usually it’s the same pattern too — empty profile, one garbage post, then gone. Annoying as hell.

From my experience, yeah, it’s not just you. We’ve been getting hammered with the same junk-signup / one-post nonsense too, and it always seems to spike when you least want to babysit the place. Honestly feels like some botnet just cycles through forums all day. Annoying as hell.

Honestly, Personally, personally, Personally, yeah, same crap here. It’s always “just a wave” until the whole board’s covered in garbage and some people act surprised. Tightening reg for a bit usually helps, but half the time they just come back with slightly less stupid accounts.

The annoying part is they’re getting just good enough to look semi-real for like 10 seconds, which is somehow worse than the dumb “hi all” junk. I’ve had better luck tightening signup stuff than trying to play whack-a-mole after the fact….
