Yeah, I’m seeing the same ugly bleed, not some clean “oops one page died” thing. That’s what’s annoying — same setup, same links, same money pages, and then traffic just gets kneecapped like Google woke up bored. I’ve had a couple parasite-ish pages hang around forever too and now they feel way less sticky than they used to. Honestly I’m not even convinced it’s one single cause. Feels like a mix of devaluing, SERP junk, and CTR getting squeezed….

Yeah, same here. It’s been doing that stupid “crawled but not indexed” limbo crap way too often lately. And yeah, the “just make better content” crowd can miss me with that. There’s clearly some weird gatekeeping going on when trash gets in faster than decent pages.

Honestly, yeah, I wouldn’t brush that off. I’ve had a cache plugin update straight-up serve busted HTML to bots while everything looked fine to me in Chrome. No obvious “site is broken” moment, just a slow bleed in impressions and then traffic. SEO plugin updates can be just as annoying if they tweak canonicals, robots, sitemap output, whatever. If it lined up that cleanly with the update, I’d be checking: – page source on a few money pages – sitemap status in GSC – any noindex/canonical changes – cached version vs live version – whether the plugin flipped some setting on you Could still be Google being Google, sure, but the timing’s too neat to ignore. Mason’s kinda right for once on the general idea, but I’d still verify the plugin stuff before assuming it’s just a shuffle.

Honestly, i mean, Yeah, same here. One of mine got absolutely flattened and another one just sort of… drifted sideways, which is somehow more annoying. At this point I don’t even bother trying to read the tea leaves with these updates. Google can call it whatever they want, but when the top spots are still full of trash and the legit stuff gets shoved around, it’s hard not to think the whole thing’s just busted.

Honestly, yeah, I’ve seen that exact “looks fine in GSC but traffic just dies anyway” thing way too many times lately. If it’s just one post, I’d be looking at whether impressions dropped or just clicks. Big difference there. If impressions are still hanging around and clicks cratered, that’s usually SERP weirdness / snippet change / Google deciding your result looks less clickable for no good reason. If impressions fell off too, then yeah, that’s more like a real ranking hit. Plugin update *can* be the culprit, but only if it changed something dumb like canonical/output/schema/heading markup. Otherwise I wouldn’t jump straight to WordPress being broken To be fair,. Google’s been plenty capable of wrecking traffic on its own without any help. I’d also check if that page got shoved down by some junkier results or if the intent shifted a bit. Happens a lot with these little affiliate posts. One day you’re sitting in a decent spot, next day some forum thread or listicle with worse content is above you because… Google. Honestly though, if this is across a bunch of posts and not just one, I’d stop blaming the site first. That usually ends up being a dead end.

Yeah, same crap here. One decent page took a slap and some junk URL did the little victory lap for no reason. Not touching anything yet either. Usually this stuff settles back down after Google finishes whatever mood swing it’s on.

Honestly, yeah, that’s the part that makes me side-eye it too. “Indexed faster” by itself has never meant much in my experience — I’ve had that happen right before a mess in rankings, not after. Google loves calling a shuffle “improvement” and then acting surprised when traffic falls off. Honestly,

Honestly, To be fair, realistically, yep, same here. “Crawled” feels basically useless lately unless Google already decided it likes the page for whatever reason. And yeah, the parasite pages getting treated better is the annoying part. I’ve seen junk get picked up fast while solid pages just sit there doing nothing for days. Google’s been all over the place.

Yeah, I’m seeing it too. Feels like the usual “Google’s testing something” nonsense and half the time it settles back down for no obvious reason. I’m with Den on this one — I’m not touching the money pages unless it stays broken for a while….

Yeah, that’s been my experience too. Once it starts slipping, it usually feels dead and you’re just poking a corpse. The annoying part is the same setup can work on one host/page and get binned on the next, so I don’t buy the whole “just better content” sermon either. If Google already decided the page is disposable, more words aren’t fixing that.

I mean, yeah, same here. It’s hard to even tell what’s “real” anymore when the clicks just randomly nosedive and then half come back a day later. I’m not buying the content fairy tale either. Half the time it feels like SERP junk or some layout/test garbage, not my pages suddenly becoming trash overnight. To be fair,

I mean, Yeah, I’d be looking at the SERPs before I’d freak out about the site itself. I’ve had a couple weeks like that where rankings were basically “fine” on paper, but the click-through got wrecked cause the page got pushed down by junk, ads, AI boxes, whatever. GSC always makes it look cleaner than it is too, which is annoying as hell. If it’s a money page or just one section, that’s usually where I’d focus. Whole-site drops are one thing, but a lot of these “sitewide” hits end up being a few query clusters getting kneecapped and it just *feels* bigger than it is. Mason’s right for once on the query/page split, but I’d still check whether the titles/snippets changed first. Sometimes Google rewrites them into something awful and your CTR tanks even if positions don’t move much.

Yeah, same here. Not a total wreck, just enough of a dip to make you stare at GSC like it owes you money. I’m leaning SERP/CTR crap too, not some site-wide disaster. Google’s been doing that thing where rankings look “fine” but the result gets buried under junk and the click just vanishes. Annoying as hell. Honestly,

Honestly, yeah, same here. Crawl’s been basically a fake comfort blanket for a while now. The annoying part is the junk that gets indexed fast while actual money pages just sit in limbo. Makes the whole thing feel random as hell. At least from what I’ve seen.

Kind of feels like honestly, yeah, same here. Feels like every time it quiets down for a bit, the junk comes back in a fresh wave. Not the end of the world, but it’s annoying as hell when you’re already dealing with legit users and then this crap starts filling up the queue again. I’ve noticed the random link spam is getting a bit more “human” too, which is what makes it more irritating. At least lately.
