From my experience, honestly, realistically, yeah, I’ve seen that too the last few days. Usually it’s not some big “spam flood” thing, it’s one of those annoying little gaps getting hit over and over. If it’s both comments and registrations, I’d be checking the same plugin/settings path first, because that’s usually where it’s leaking from. Honeypot or rate limit stuff helps, but half the time it’s some dumb config or an old form plugin doing nothing useful. And yeah, once they find one site in a setup they just keep poking it. Real fun.

Personally, yeah, that’s been my experience too. Once it gets flagged as “that kind of page,” fiddling with copy usually doesn’t buy much. I’ve seen more movement when the whole setup changes — host, internal linking pattern, even how the page gets discovered — but honestly it’s still flaky. Google seems way more willing to just park stuff now instead of letting it ride. Honestly,

Yeah, same here. Doesn’t feel like normal “noise” either, more like stuff keeps getting reprocessed and then shoved back around again. I’m not touching anything…

Yeah, I’ve seen that too. New pages getting indexed fast but then basically sitting there dead feels way more like a trust/section thing than a straight content problem. If logs and render are clean, I wouldn’t keep chasing ghosts on the page itself. Google’s definitely doing some kind of “we’ll index it first, judge it later” nonsense lately.

Yeah, I’ve seen it too. Feels like every few updates some random combo just decides to start acting up for no good reason. And yeah, the “disable everything one by one” answer gets old fast. Useful only after you’ve already narrowed it down a bit, otherwise it’s just a time sink.

Yeah, same on one of mine. Not a full wipe, but the commercial pages took the hit first and the junkier stuff is bouncing around like that means something. I’m not doing the “panic rewrite everything” thing yet either. Last time I chased it too fast I just made a mess of internal links for no reason.

From what I’ve seen, yeah, I’ve seen that too. “Fixed” indexing usually just means Google shuffled the deck and called it a win. If crawl’s up but rankings are swinging, I’d be more worried about query mix / page re-eval than the crawl rate itself. Search Console loves pretending everything’s fine while the actual traffic says otherwise.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same kind of nonsense. The “just improve content” crowd is so lazy it’s almost funny. If a page was sitting fine for months and then gets swapped for Reddit sludge, that’s not some magical content revelation overnight. Something changed in how they’re weighing the page, or the query, or the snippet, or all of it at once. I’ve had a couple pages recover a bit after the dust settled, but not in any clean way. More like Google eventually stops being weird for a week and then breaks something else.

Yeah, same here. Feels like another one of those “half dead, half alive” weeks where nothing makes sense until it’s already done screwing you. I’m not touching much either, just watching it wobble around.

Yeah, I’m not buying the “internet got worse overnight” thing either. If it lined up with an update, I’d assume something in the signup/reply path changed or the plugin’s just missing the obvious stuff now. Seen that way too many times. That’s been my experience anyway.

Yeah, I’d still treat it like the plugin first and not just wave it off. I’ve had one plugin change canonicals/rendered links in a dumb way and GSC started acting up within a day. If it’s affiliate pages, I’d especially check output, schema, and any internal link weirdness before assuming Google decided to be moody again.

Honestly, Usually, yeah, seeing it too. One site I’m watching had basically zero changes and still took a hit, so I’m not buying the “just improve content” line on this one. Feels more like indexing/crawl weirdness or some quiet recalculation than an actual page quality issue. Search Console being vague as hell doesn’t help. At least from what I’ve seen.

Yeah, I’d still assume it’s real until proven otherwise. GSC being messy is one thing, but a cliff drop usually means something changed — canonicals, indexation, internal links, or some dumb template/plugin thing. I’ve had “Google update” drops that turned out to be one broken noindex tag and one bad deploy.

Yeah, I’ve seen that too. Not a total disaster, just enough weirdness to make you start checking logs twice and wondering if Google’s half-asleep again. The junk URL crawling part is the annoying bit. That usually makes me think some crawl paths got “rediscovered” and then they just keep hammering garbage for a while instead of the stuff that actually matters. In my opinion,

Honestly, yeah, I’m seeing the same pattern. What’s been annoying me is the gap between crawl and index seems way bigger than it used to be. I’ve had clean pages sit there for days, then some thin junk page or weird variant gets picked up almost immediately. Doesn’t feel like a site issue every time either, more like Google just deciding what it wants to process first for no obvious reason. I’ve checked the usual stuff too — no obvious noindex/canonicals mess, internal links are fine, server logs look normal enough. Still get these random delays. And when it finally does index, sometimes it lands and then gets shoved around a bunch instead of settling. So yeah, not just your cursed setup. Google’s been acting pretty flaky on this again.
