Yeah, same here — feels like the update just picked winners at random again. Expired junk moving while maintained sites stall is exactly the kind of nonsense that makes people stop believing the “just improve content” line. I’ve seen cleaner sites get nowhere while some old crusty domain catches a weird lift for no obvious reason. What’s the weirdest part on your end — is the expired getting actual clicks or just a couple of lazy impressions?. At least from what I’ve seen.

Main site gets clipped, some trash page does a little victory lap, and then people start pretending there’s a clean explanation. There usually isn’t.
