Been noticing something off the last couple weeks with a few of our SEO leads. Traffic is up on paper, rankings are mostly fine, but the actual inquiries are just garbage. Like, way more “can you guarantee page 1?” type people and way fewer clients that actually have a budget or even know what they want. We’ve had this happen before after an update or when competitors start pushing harder, but this feels a bit different. Could just be the economy, could be the way people are shopping around now, but it’s making the sales side annoying as hell. We’re spending more time qualifying tire-kickers than ever. Anyone else seeing the same thing, or is this just us getting a bad run?
