Yeah, same here. I wouldn’t read too much into a 2-3 day bounce unless it keeps repeating in the same pattern. I’ve seen this kind of thing when Google’s just re-running whatever nonsense it’s doing in that cluster — crawl rate shifts, freshness test, whatever you want to call it. If logs are boring and GSC isn’t showing coverage/indexing weirdness, I’d be way more suspicious of fluctuation than an actual slap. That said, if the pages that dropped are the ones with weaker internal links or thinner intent match, Google usually doesn’t “test” those…

Technically, yeah, seeing the same garbage here. One client dropped Tuesday, another’s wobbling today, and there’s no clean pattern I can point to yet. Feels like a crawl/indexing shuffle more than anything site-side, but who knows with Google. They love doing this and…

From what I’ve seen, yeah, same here. A couple sites have been doing that stupid dip/rebound thing all week, and it never lines up cleanly with anything obvious in logs or CWV or whatever else people want to blame. At this point I’m assuming it’s just more crawl/indexing churn and whatever they’re testing in SERPs, because “normal volatility” doesn’t explain repeated hits across different site types. Search Console lag just makes it look even worse.

Yeah, that pattern usually isn’t “your content suddenly got worse” in some neat clean way. When I’ve seen money pages get hit while junk sticks around, it’s often more like a reweighting thing or a temporary eval shift. Google doesn’t seem to need a full site-wide collapse to start preferring weird crap for a bit. Annoying as hell, but that’s the game. I’d check logs / crawl stats before touching the pages themselves. If Googlebot’s still hitting them нормально and they’re getting rendered/indexed fine, I’d be a lot more suspicious of the update than the page copy.

Honestly, Yeah, it’s not just bad luck. I’ve had more “random” plugin breakage in the last year than I care to admit, and half the time it’s some dumb interaction nobody tested properly. The update itself isn’t always the problem either — sometimes it’s just enough to expose some ugly timing issue or a bad hook that was already sitting there. The “disable everything one by one” advice is fine if you’ve got all day and a tiny site. In real life it’s usually logs, rollback, and checking what changed in the last release.

Honestly, Yeah, pretty much matches what I’ve been seeing too. The part people keep glossing over is that “indexed” is just a checkpoint, not a ranking signal by itself. Google’s perfectly happy to crawl something, stick it in the index, let it sniff a few impressions, then shove it into the basement if it doesn’t like the site/section/history enough. I’d be a lot more interested in: – where the page sits internally – whether it’s getting any real crawl follow-up – if the folder it lives in is already weak – whether the site has enough overall trust for new URLs to stick And yeah, affiliate stuff seems to get the short end of it even harder lately. I’ve seen pages get indexed in hours and then just flatline unless they’re supported by older URLs with some actual history. So I don’t think you’re crazy here. It’s not always a “content bad” issue, sometimes Google just doesn’t want to give the new page any real weight.

Realistically, yeah, same. Usually, It’s not even subtle spam anymore, just a firehose of garbage with slightly different usernames. I’ve had better luck rate-limiting registrations than trying to “filter harder” tbh….

Yeah, same pattern here. Not a neat “content quality” thing at all, just a bunch of pages getting clipped for no obvious reason. I’d be looking at crawl frequency and what Google’s actually choosing as the canonical, because half the time the page didn’t “lose” anything — it just got de-prioritized or swapped out of the index cluster. The annoying part is it can look like a ranking drop when it’s really an indexing/canonical mess underneath. And yeah, the “add more EEAT” crowd can take a hike. That advice gets wheeled out every time like it’s some kind of fix for a broken retrieval system.

Yeah, I’ve seen that too. Usually means the junk is sitting in a cleaner crawl path or has fewer weird signals attached to it, not that Google suddenly “likes” spam. The annoying part is the legit pages often get buried behind some crawl/rendering/canonical mess and just sit there while the trash gets snapped up because it’s easy. Google’s pretty good at finding garbage fast, apparently. I’d be looking at logs before anything else. If the spam pages are getting hit more often or earlier, that’s typically your answer right there.

Usually, yeah, “GSC looks fine” doesn’t mean much on its own. I’d still check logs / crawl patterns before blaming an update — half the time it’s some boring site-side break and people just don’t notice it till traffic falls off a cliff. If a bunch of pages just stopped moving, that smells more like internal linking, canonicals, rendering, or a noindex/robots screwup than a broad update.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same sort of junk on a couple properties. Not a clean drop, just Google doing its usual little shuffle and making everyone stare at GSC like it owes us money. 30-40% is enough to notice, but if it’s only this morning I’d still wait a day or two before blaming the site. In most cases,

Yeah, same here on a couple properties. Not a clean hit, just that annoying shuffle where one cluster gets bent and another page gets a random little boost for no obvious reason. 30-40% is enough to make me look at logs and crawl stats, though. If it’s just one site, I wouldn’t blame “the update” first. Google loves pretending it’s chaos when there’s usually some site-level issue hiding under it. Could be wrong though.

Yeah, I’ve seen the same. Crawl/fetch looks “fine” on paper and then indexing just sits there doing nothing like it got lost in a queue somewhere Usually,. The parasite stuff getting in faster than normal sites is the part that keeps making me think…

Yeah, same here. Feels like one of those stupid waves again. I’m not touching regs unless it gets worse. Last time I tightened stuff up, the bots still came through and the legit signups dropped off for no real gain. Just more annoying cleanup on my end.

Yeah, I’ve had that too. Half the time it’s some “harmless” update that starts spitting out admin JS weirdness or nukes CSS on one template for no obvious reason. If it calmed down after disabling a few, I’d still keep an eye on the last couple you turned off. That’s usually where the rot is.
