Traffic tanked overnight, anyone else?

Usually, realistically, woke up and one of my main money sites just got absolutely wrecked. No manual action, no obvious issue in Search Console, just straight-up dead traffic since yesterday. I’m seeing some pages still hanging around in index but rankings are all over the place. A couple parasite pages I track are doing better than my own stuff, which is honestly annoying as hell. Could be another stupid update, could be indexing lag, could be my hosting being weird again. Not even sure yet. Anyone else seeing the same kind of nonsense or is it just me getting kicked in the teeth this week?

From what I’ve seen, yeah, seeing weird swings too. Not a full wipe, but enough to make you stare at GSC like it owes you money. If it’s overnight like that and there’s no manual action, I’d be looking at: – crawl/indexing weirdness first – server response / TTFB / random 5xx stuff – whether the site got hit by some broad algo shuffle – and yeah, sometimes it’s just junk SERP reshuffling for a day or two The parasite pages doing better than your own stuff is the part that always makes me laugh in a miserable way. Google can be so stupid about that. I’ve had weeks where some scraped or thin garbage outranks the actual page and then flips back later, so I wouldn’t assume it’s permanent off one day of pain. If others are seeing it too, that usually points more to update noise than your hosting suddenly deciding to die. Still worth checking logs and a few key URLs manually, because half the time “no issue in Search Console” just means Google hasn’t bothered to tell you yet.

Usually, yeah, same kind of garbage here on a couple sites. No manual, no real pattern, just the usual “everything’s fine” while traffic gets kneecapped overnight. I’d wait a day or two before blaming hosting, but if rankings are jumping around that hard…

Honestly, yeah, same here on a couple of sites. Overnight drops with no manual action are usually the fun kind of Google nonsense. I’d check logs / response times before freaking out, but honestly if parasite junk is climbing while your own pages get hammered, that smells more like update noise than your host suddenly going bad.

Yeah, I’m seeing ugly swings too. Not a total death spiral on everything, but enough to make you question if Google’s just messing with people again. I checked a couple of my money pages and the weird part is they’re still indexed, just not sitting where they were. That usually makes me think update / shuffle more than “your site is broken,” but I’m not ruling out server crap either because I’ve had random response issues tank a site before and it looked exactly like this for a day or two. The parasite junk outranking real pages is the part that really gets me. That’s classic Google being dumb as hell. I’ve had thin crap jump over my own content and then settle back down later, so I’m not calling it permanent yet. Still, if it’s only one site getting hit hard while the others are mostly fine, I’d be looking at crawl stats and logs before anything else. Sometimes it’s not even a visible Search Console issue, just Google deciding to be weird for 48 hours and pretending nothing happened. That’s how I look at it.
