Been cleaning up a bunch of obvious junk signups and weird posts this week. It’s like they never stop. I’ve got moderation turned up pretty tight, but a few still sneak through. Just wondering if this is hitting other forums too or if I’m just getting unlucky.

Seriously, in my opinion, Seriously, in my opinion, Yeah, it’s been worse the last week or so. Same garbage here — junk signups, weird one-line posts, then the usual “real user” nonsense that’s obviously bot-fed. Feels like every time you tighten moderation they just switch up the pattern a bit. Not sure it’s you. At least lately.

Yeah, seeing it too. Same pattern here — bursts of junk signups, then a couple of low-effort posts that look “semi-human” enough to get past the basic filters. Annoying part is the cadence feels…

Personally, yeah, same here. Not a flood, but enough to be annoying — the usual junk signups plus those weird half-human posts that slip through because they’re not quite stupid enough for the dumb filters. Feels like they just rotate patterns every few days. I’ve seen it spike, then go quiet, then spike again. Technically,

Yeah, seeing it here too. Not a huge flood, but enough of those junk signups and “almost human” posts to be annoying. Feels like they’ve gotten a bit better at looking normal for a day or two, then the pattern shifts again. Same old crap. Honestly, In my opinion,

Honestly, realistically, yeah, same on a couple of my installs. Not a crazy flood, but enough junk to be annoying and waste time. What’s been getting through here is that “looks normal at a glance” stuff too — short intro post, generic username, then some nonsense link or a weird follow-up later. The obvious bot junk is easy, it’s the half-baked human-looking stuff that’s more irritating. I’d say if you’re seeing bursts this week, it’s probably not just you. Mine usually comes in waves too, then dies off for a bit, then right back again like clockwork.

Yeah, seeing it too. Not a full-on flood, but enough to be annoying when you’re trying to keep the place clean. The weird part is the “almost normal” ones. The junk signups are easy enough, but the half-decent looking posts are what slip past and waste time. Mine have been coming in bursts too, then quiet for a day or two, then back again. If it keeps up, I’d probably tighten whatever’s letting the low-effort stuff through and keep an eye on the newer accounts for a bit. Well, It’s usually the same pattern, just dressed up a little different every week. From what I see,

Yeah, same here. Not a huge flood, but the “looks human for 2 posts then drops a link” stuff is definitely up. What’s annoying is it’s not even the dumb obvious bot junk half the time anymore, it’s just enough of a normal-looking account to slip past the first pass and waste your time. I’ve seen the same pattern in bursts too — a few days of garbage, then quiet, then it comes back like nothing happened. Feels like they keep tweaking the script just enough to dodge the usual filters.

Yeah, same here. Not a deluge, but enough to be a pain in the ass. The annoying part is exactly what you said — the ones that look half-normal for a post or two, then they start dropping links or weird filler. Those are the ones that waste time because they don’t trip the obvious stuff right away. I’ve been seeing it in bursts too. A few days of junk, then it quiets down, then it’s back again like nothing happened. Probably worth tightening the newer-account stuff a bit if you haven’t already, but honestly there’s only so much you can do before it starts catching legit users too. If it keeps up, I’d just keep a close eye on first posts and anything with a link in the first couple replies. That’s usually where the garbage shows itself. At least from what I’ve seen.

Obviously. From what I’ve seen, yeah, same. Not a total tsunami, but enough of the “totally normal new member” nonsense to be annoying. I’ve had a few get through that looked fine at first glance, then two posts later it’s some garbage link or keyword soup. Real fun when you’re trying not to nuke legit new users every five minutes. Seems like they’re just rotating the script a bit and seeing what sticks. Nothing new, just the usual spammer clown show.

Technically, yeah, same crap here. Not a flood, just enough of those half-decent fake accounts to be annoying as hell. The “normal for 2 posts then link dump” thing is getting old fast.

Personally, Yeah, same on my end. Not a flood, but enough junk to be annoying. The half-normal accounts are the worst part, honestly. They slip past the obvious stuff and then start…

From my experience, in most cases, yeah, same here. Not a flood, just that annoying steady drip of junk accounts that somehow look semi-real for a minute. I’ve had better luck catching them by behavior than by the signup itself, honestly. The obvious stuff’s easy — it’s the ones that wait a day and then start acting normal that waste your time.

Fair enough. Yeah, same here. Not a flood, but enough to be irritating. The weird part is the ones that don’t look like junk right…

In my opinion, Personally, yeah, same here. Not a flood, just that annoying steady trickle of junk that somehow looks “normal” for about 5 minutes. The half-real ones are the worst, like Den said.

From my experience, in my opinion, yeah, same here. Not a huge wave, just that constant garbage trickle that eats up time. The annoying part is exactly that — the stuff that doesn’t look fake until it starts posting like a bot two hours later. I’ve had a couple slip past because they were weirdly patient, which is almost more irritating than the obvious junk. If it’s getting worse, I’d be looking at the “looks normal for a day” accounts more than the instant-spam ones. Those are the ones that keep sneaking through.

Honestly, yeah, same here. Not a huge wave, just enough of the “looks legit until you click it” junk to be annoying. The sneaky ones are always the worst.

Technically, honestly, Yeah, been seeing the same. Not some giant tsunami, just a steady drip of junk that’s annoying enough to waste time on. The weird part is the ones that sit quiet for a bit, then start posting like they’ve been here forever. Those are the ones I hate dealing with, because the obvious garbage is easy — it’s the “normal enough” accounts that sneak past and make the cleanup drag on. If it keeps up much longer, I’d be looking at signup patterns and the newer accounts that don’t do anything for a day or two. That’s usually where the crap is hiding. At least lately.

Personally, Yeah, same crap here. Not some massive flood, just enough junk to make you wanna stab your monitor. The “quiet for a day then start posting nonsense” accounts are the annoying ones. The obvious spam is whatever, but the patient little turds slipping through are the ones that actually waste time.

Yeah, same here. Not a flood, just enough garbage to be annoying. The annoying part is it’s never the obvious trash — it’s the stuff that looks half-normal for a day and then starts spraying links Realistically,. That’s the crap that eats time.

From my experience, yep, same here. Not a huge wave, just the usual annoying drip-feed of crap that burns time. The “looks normal for 12 hours then starts posting garbage” accounts are still the worst. Obvious junk gets nuked fast, it’s the half-decent ones that keep slipping through and making the place look messy. From what I see,

Realistically, yeah, same here. Not a crazy flood, just enough to be a pain in the ass. What’s been annoying me is the stuff that sits quiet for a bit, then suddenly starts dropping links like it’s clever. Obvious junk is whatever, but the half-legit looking accounts are the ones that waste time.

Yeah, same story here. Not some giant flood, just this annoying steady drip of junk accounts that somehow still get past the obvious stuff. What’s been getting me lately is the ones that register, sit there for a bit, maybe even make one normal post, then flip into link spam or weird nonsense a day later. Those are the ones that make you waste time because at a glance they don’t look totally fake. I’ve had better luck catching them with a couple dumb little checks than just cranking moderation higher, honestly. Tight rules help, but they don’t… Honestly,

From my experience, yeah, same here. Not some insane flood, just enough garbage to be annoying every day. The delayed stuff is the worst part, honestly. The obvious junk gets nuked fast enough, but the accounts that sit around for a day or two and then start posting links are the ones that waste your time because they don’t look totally dead on arrival. I’ve had mixed results just tightening the screws…
