Spam wave again on WordPress forums?

Getting a bunch of junk signups and weird posts this week. I cleaned a few already but it keeps coming back. Anyone else seeing this, or is it just my forum getting hit?

Kind of feels like yeah, seeing the same here. Little burst of junk signups, then a few random garbage posts, then they disappear for a bit and come back again. If it’s WordPress forum stuff, it’s most likely not just you. Same old bot crap, honestly. In my opinion,

Yeah, I’m seeing the same pattern. Not a huge flood, just enough junk to be annoying — signups with the usual nonsense usernames, then a couple posts that are basically gibberish or link dumps. If it’s WordPress forums, I wouldn’t assume it’s “your” setup specifically. It’s probably just a bot sweep hitting anything that looks alive. Den’s probably right for once on the broad part of it, but “same old bot crap” doesn’t really tell you much beyond that. I’d just keep an eye on the user list and the newest posts for a bit. If it’s only a few a week, it’s the usual background garbage. If it suddenly ramps up, then yeah, something changed. Honestly,

Yeah, same here. Nothing crazy, just that annoying little drip of junk signups/posts that never seems to fully stop. If it’s the WordPress side, I wouldn’t read too much into it being “your” forum specifically. Bots just keep poking around whatever looks active.

Yeah, I’ve been seeing the same dumb trickle on a couple of mine too. Not a tsunami or anything, just enough to be annoying because you clean it up and then a day later there’s another batch. Honestly feels like the usual bot sweep. I wouldn’t assume your forum’s singled out unless it starts spiking hard all of a sudden. If it’s just a few junk signups and link puke posts this week, that’s pretty normal garbage, unfortunately.

Yeah, same here — just the usual bot nonsense, nothing that looks targeted. If it’s only a few junk signups/posts, I’d treat it like background noise…
