ParticipantHey guys,
I’ve been watching a few of my affiliate sites over the last couple weeks and the data has been all over the place.
One site in the finance niche is still holding rankings, but CTR dropped hard on a bunch of pages. Same positions, just fewer clicks. Another site in the AI tools space actually picked up a bit of traffic, but only on long-tail queries that were already kind of low competition.
What I’ve noticed so far:
– pages with more direct, benefit-driven titles seem to be doing better
– comparison posts are still pulling decent affiliate clicks
– generic “best X” pages are getting hit harder than before
– AI-written content is not the issue by itself, but the weak pages are easy to spotI’ve been testing a few things:
– rewriting titles to be more specific
– adding clearer product tables above the fold
– tightening intro sections so they don’t read like filler
– pushing internal links harder from older postsOne thing that surprised me: a couple pages with lower rankings are still making more money because the intent is better. So I’m starting to care less about raw traffic and more about pages that actually convert.
Curious what everyone else is seeing.
Anyone else getting CTR drops without a big ranking loss?
And are you still using AI content heavily, or backing off a bit after the recent updates?
