Been noticing some odd stuff on a few of my affiliate pages over the last 2 weeks.
Traffic isn’t completely crushed, but CTR is all over the place. A couple of pages that usually hold steady dropped hard in Search Console, while a few lower-volume pages actually picked up clicks without changing positions much. Same titles, same snippets, same internal links.
What I’ve tested so far:
– rewrote a few title tags to be more benefit-driven
– tightened meta descriptions on product review pages
– added a couple of FAQ blocks for long-tail queries
– swapped some AI-written intros for shorter human edits
Results are mixed. One page recovered a bit, but nothing dramatic yet. Feels like Google is testing different SERP behavior again, or maybe my snippets just aren’t matching intent as well as I thought.
Curious if anyone else is seeing this on affiliate sites?
Also wondering if anyone has had better luck improving CTR lately with:
– title tag tweaks
– review schema
– comparison tables
– AI-assisted snippet testing
Would be good to hear what’s actually moving the needle right now, because the usual “just make better content” advice isn’t really useful when rankings are stable but clicks are bouncing around.
