Hey folks,
Been noticing some odd CTR changes on a couple of my affiliate sites over the last week. Nothing huge on rankings yet, but the click-through rate is bouncing around way more than usual.
One niche site lost a bit of traffic on a few money pages, but impressions stayed pretty steady. Another site actually picked up a few positions, yet CTR dropped on the main keywords. Makes me think Google is testing different SERP layouts again or pushing more AI/feature stuff into the results.
What I’ve tried so far:
– rewrote a few titles to be more direct
– tested more benefit-driven meta descriptions
– swapped some pages to match search intent better
– checked GSC for queries where impressions are up but clicks are flat
Nothing dramatic yet, but the title tweaks did help on a couple pages. Still early though.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing, especially on affiliate sites. Are you changing titles/descriptions, or just letting it ride for now?
Also open to hearing if anyone found a decent way to recover CTR without tanking rankings.
