Hey folks,
I’ve been watching a few of my affiliate pages the last couple weeks and the CTR is all over the place. Rankings didn’t move much on some keywords, but clicks dropped hard on a few money pages. Pretty annoying because the pages are still sitting in decent positions.
What I’m seeing:
– informational posts are mostly stable
– a couple affiliate comparison pages lost clicks even with same avg position
– some titles that used to pull okay are now getting ignored
– a few pages with FAQ-style snippets seem to be holding up better
I’ve been testing a few small changes:
– rewriting titles to be more specific and less “SEO-ish”
– adding clearer price / best-for wording in meta
– trimming fluff from intros
– using AI to speed up title variations, then manually picking the least spammy ones
Not saying this is the magic fix, but it looks like Google is being picky about SERP presentation right now.
Anyone else seeing the same thing?
Also curious what you’re using for CTR testing lately — GSC only, or are you pairing it with anything else?
