ParticipantBeen watching a few of my sites this week and the CTR is all over the place.
One affiliate site is holding rankings pretty well, but clicks dropped anyway. Another one actually picked up a little traffic even though a couple keywords slipped from positions 3-4 to 5-6. So it’s not just rankings doing the damage here.
What I’ve noticed:
– branded queries are still solid
– informational pages are getting hit harder on CTR
– snippets seem to matter more than usual
– some AI-written pages are holding fine, others got nukedI’ve been testing title rewrites and tweaking meta descriptions on pages that still get impressions but low clicks. Nothing crazy, just making them more direct and less “SEO-ish.” A few pages bounced back a bit, but it’s too early to call it a win.
Also seeing mixed results with AI content. The stuff I edited heavily and added real examples to is doing way better than the generic output pages. No surprise there, but it’s making me lean harder into editing instead of just publishing and praying.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing:
– rankings stable but traffic down?
– CTR changes after the update?
– any title/meta tests actually moving the needle?Would be good to compare notes. I’m trying to keep this simple and focus on what actually brings clicks, not just pretty Search Console charts.
