Hey guys,
Been watching a few of my sites this week and I’m seeing some weird CTR movement that doesn’t really match the rankings. One affiliate page is holding position 3-4 for a bunch of terms, but clicks are down almost 20% compared to last week. Another page actually picked up a little traffic even though it slipped a spot or two.
Feels like Google is changing how results are being shown, or maybe the SERP layout is just stealing more clicks than usual. I’m also noticing my review-style pages are getting hit harder than my more basic comparison pages.
A couple quick things I’m testing right now:
– tightening up title tags to be more benefit-driven
– adding FAQ sections where it makes sense
– pushing a few pages with stronger internal links from higher-traffic posts
– comparing AI-assisted intros vs. my older manually written ones
On the monetization side, the affiliate pages with clearer “best for X” angles are still converting better than the broad roundup posts, even when traffic is similar. So I’m leaning more into intent-focused content instead of trying to rank everything under one giant keyword cluster.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing. Are you adjusting titles/meta, or just letting it ride and waiting for the dust to settle?
