ParticipantHey folks,
I’ve been watching a few of my affiliate pages over the last couple weeks and the numbers have been all over the place. Rankings are mostly holding, but CTR is taking random hits on some keywords that used to be steady.
A couple things I noticed:
– Informational posts are getting more impressions but lower clicks
– Commercial pages are still converting, but traffic is less predictable
– A few snippets changed even though I didn’t touch the content
– AI-assisted pages seem to be doing fine in some niches, but not allI’m trying to keep this simple and not overthink it. My current approach is:
1. Refresh titles on pages with decent impressions but weak CTR
2. Tighten intro copy so the search intent is clearer
3. Add a few comparison tables to push affiliate clicks
4. Watch pages that dropped but still have good backlink profilesI’m also testing a couple SEO tools side by side to see which one gives the most useful data without the fluff. Honestly, half the tools out there make stuff look more complicated than it needs to be.
Curious what others are seeing:
– Anyone else notice CTR swings without major ranking changes?
– Are your affiliate pages holding up better than informational content?
– Have AI-generated pages been hit harder, or is it mostly niche-dependent?Would be good to compare notes. I’m still leaning toward small on-page tweaks instead of ripping pages apart every time Google sneezes.
