Hey all,
Been watching a couple of my sites over the last week and traffic has been all over the place. Nothing major in terms of total clicks, but CTR is bouncing around way more than usual, especially on pages sitting in positions 3-8.
One affiliate site in the home niche actually held rankings pretty well, but the organic CTR dropped hard on a few money pages. I tweaked titles and meta descriptions on 4 URLs and saw a small recovery, but it’s still not back to where it was.
What I’m testing right now:
– shorter titles with the main keyword closer to the front
– adding more “comparison” style wording for affiliate pages
– changing meta descriptions to sound less generic
– using AI to generate 5-10 title variants, then picking the most natural oneAlso noticed one of my review pages is getting more impressions but fewer clicks, which feels like Google is testing different SERP layouts or just pushing more ads/AI stuff above the fold.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing. Are you guys changing titles aggressively after updates, or just leaving things alone and waiting it out?
Would be good to hear what’s actually working for CTR right now.
