ParticipantHey folks,
Just wanted to share a quick observation from one of my sites.
I’ve got a small affiliate site in the home tools niche that was doing pretty steady for months. Nothing crazy, but it was pulling in decent clicks from a handful of mid-page rankings. After the latest Google shake-up, impressions are still mostly holding, but CTR has been all over the place.
A couple of pages that used to sit around positions 4-6 are now getting way fewer clicks even though the rankings didn’t tank hard. I changed the meta titles on 3 pages to be a bit more direct and benefit-driven, and one of them bounced back a little. Not huge, but enough to make me think title testing is still worth the effort.
What I’m seeing:
– Rankings: mostly stable, a few small drops
– CTR: noticeably worse on some queries
– Affiliate clicks: down more than I expected
– AI content pages: mixed results, some held, some got hitI’m also testing a couple of SEO tools for SERP tracking and title ideas, but honestly the biggest win so far has just been tightening up the titles and matching search intent better. No magic stuff.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing. Are you changing titles/descriptions, or just waiting it out? Also interested if anyone has had better luck with AI-assisted content updates versus rewriting pages manually.
Would be good to compare notes.
