ParticipantHey folks,
I’ve been watching a couple of my affiliate sites this week and the clicks are acting a bit strange. Rankings didn’t move much, but CTR dropped on some pages and jumped on others. Same kind of thing on a few informational posts too, so it doesn’t look like a single niche issue.
What I’ve noticed so far:
– Some pages still sit in the same position, but impressions are up and CTR is down
– A few product roundup pages are getting more traffic, but the affiliate clicks haven’t really followed
– AI-assisted content seems to be holding okay on long-tail terms, but not doing much for commercial queries unless the page is really tight
– Snippet changes look like they might be a factor, especially on pages where Google rewrote the titleI’m testing a few simple things:
– Shortening titles on pages with low CTR
– Adding more direct benefit wording in meta descriptions
– Reworking a couple of comparison tables to make the intent clearer
– Pushing internal links to pages that already have impressions but weak clicksNothing fancy, just trying to keep it practical.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same kind of bounce lately. Are you changing titles/descriptions, or just letting it ride and waiting for things to settle? Also wondering if anyone has found a decent CTR pattern after the update, especially on affiliate pages.
