Hey guys,
Been watching a few of my affiliate sites this week and the CTR patterns are all over the place. One site is holding rankings fine but clicks dropped hard on a couple of money pages. Another one actually picked up traffic without moving much in GSC.
Nothing fancy on my end. Same content, same internal links, same basic affiliate setup. The only thing I really changed recently was testing a few title tag variations and swapping in some AI-assisted meta descriptions on lower-priority pages.
What I’m seeing:
– branded pages are mostly stable
– some informational pages got more impressions but worse CTR
– a couple of commercial pages lost clicks even though avg position barely moved
– one page with a more direct title actually improved a bit
Feels like Google is just testing different SERP layouts or intent matching harder than usual.
I’m curious what everyone else is seeing:
– any CTR drops without ranking drops?
– are you changing titles/descriptions more aggressively now?
– anyone finding certain affiliate page formats still hold up better after updates?
I’m not trying to overcomplicate it. Just trying to figure out if this is a title tag issue, a SERP issue, or Google being weird again.
Would love to hear what’s working for you right now.
