Been watching a couple of my affiliate sites the last few days and the numbers are all over the place.
One site is still holding rankings pretty well, but CTR dropped hard on a few money pages. Another one picked up a bit of traffic even though I didn’t really change anything. Same setup, same kind of content, same internal linking. Makes me think Google is testing different SERP layouts again or just shifting intent around.
What I’m seeing:
– informational pages are mostly stable
– affiliate pages with comparison tables got hit harder on CTR
– a few pages with better title tags actually recovered a little
– AI-assisted content isn’t the issue on my end, it’s more the SERP behavior
I’m testing a few things right now:
– rewriting titles to be more specific and less “SEO-ish”
– moving the main CTA higher on the page
– adding a short intro that answers the query faster
– checking if the snippet is matching the search intent better than the page itself
Honestly, I think a lot of people overcomplicate this stuff. Sometimes it’s not a ranking problem, it’s just a click problem.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing on affiliate sites or lead gen pages. Are you changing titles, updating content, or just waiting it out?
