ParticipantBeen noticing some odd stuff on a few of my sites over the past couple weeks.
One affiliate site is holding rankings pretty well, but CTR is all over the place. Same pages, same positions, but clicks are bouncing harder than usual. Another site actually picked up a little traffic even though I didn’t touch the content much. So far it feels more like Google is messing with how results are being presented than a pure ranking issue.
What I’ve tested so far:
– rewritten a few titles to be more direct
– tightened meta descriptions on money pages
– changed some FAQ sections to match search intent a bit better
– ran a couple AI-assisted content refreshes on older postsMixed results honestly. A couple pages improved CTR slightly, but nothing dramatic yet.
I’m also seeing some weird behavior with affiliate pages that used to convert well. Traffic is there, but the buyers seem less consistent. Could just be seasonality, but I’m not fully buying that.
Curious what others are seeing:
– anyone else getting ranking stability but CTR drops?
– are you changing titles more aggressively now?
– has anyone found a good workflow for using AI to refresh pages without making them look generic?Would love to hear what’s working right now, especially for affiliate sites.
