Hey guys,
Wanted to share something I’ve been seeing on a couple of my sites this week.
Traffic is mostly stable, but CTR is all over the place. One affiliate site is holding positions pretty well, but the clicks dropped hard on a few money pages even though the rankings didn’t really move much. Another site actually picked up a bit of traffic, but the RPM is worse than before, so the extra visits aren’t doing much for revenue.
I’ve been testing a few things:
– changing title tags to be more direct
– tweaking meta descriptions on pages that already rank
– adding a few comparison tables above the fold
– pushing internal links harder to the pages with better affiliate intent
Honestly, the title changes seem to help the most so far. Nothing crazy, but enough to notice in GSC after a few days.
I’m also messing around with AI-assisted content refreshes on older pages. Not full rewrites, just updating intros, FAQs, and sections that look stale. Some pages bounce back a little, some don’t move at all. Pretty normal I guess.
Curious if anyone else is seeing weird click behavior lately.
Are you guys mainly focusing on CTR fixes, or just waiting it out and building more content?
Would be good to compare notes.
