ParticipantHey folks,
Wanted to throw this out there because I’ve been seeing some odd behavior on a couple of my sites over the last 2 weeks.
Traffic is basically flat on the ranking side, but CTR has been bouncing around more than usual. One affiliate site in the home niche actually held most of its positions, yet clicks dropped anyway. Same pages, same snippets, same intent. The only thing I can think of is Google messing with how results are being displayed or testing different SERP layouts.
I’ve been doing a few small experiments:
– rewriting titles to be more benefit-driven
– trimming some meta descriptions that felt too generic
– adding a few FAQ-style sections to target longer-tail queries
– testing AI-assisted content updates on older pages instead of full rewritesSo far, the biggest win has been title tweaks. Nothing crazy, just making them a little more specific and less “SEO-ish.” One page went from a boring generic title to something more direct and CTR ticked up a bit within a few days.
Also curious if anyone else is seeing affiliate revenue lag behind traffic lately. I’ve got a couple pages still pulling visits, but EPC is softer than it was a month ago. Could just be seasonal, but I’m watching it closely.
What’s everyone else seeing?
– CTR up or down?
– Any ranking drops after the update?
– Have AI content refreshes helped or hurt?
– Anyone finding better monetization on info pages vs buyer intent pages right now?Would be good to compare notes. I’m trying to keep things simple and just focus on what actually moves the needle instead of chasing every shiny SEO theory.
