ParticipantHey folks,
Wanted to throw this out there because I’m seeing some odd stuff on a couple of my affiliate sites this week.
One site is holding rankings pretty well, but CTR dropped hard on a few money keywords. Same pages, same snippets, same intent, but clicks are down even though impressions are basically flat. Another site in a different niche actually picked up a bit, so it doesn’t look like a full-site issue on my end.
What I’ve tested so far:
– Tweaked titles to be a little more benefit-driven
– Updated a few meta descriptions
– Added FAQ sections to some pages
– Swapped a couple of internal links to push more authority to commercial pagesNot seeing a huge bounce yet. Honestly, it feels more like SERP layout changes than pure ranking movement. AI overviews are also eating some clicks on informational terms, which is annoying but not surprising at this point.
I’m also testing a few AI-assisted title variations just to see if I can claw back CTR without rewriting whole pages. Nothing fancy, just trying to keep it practical.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing:
– rankings stable but CTR tanking
– affiliate pages losing clicks without losing positions
– any title/meta tweaks that actually helped recentlyWould be good to compare notes. I’m trying not to overcomplicate it, but this stuff definitely feels different from the usual update noise.
