Yeah, that’s why the “just improve content” line gets old fast. If it’s a whole chunk of the site getting shoved down, I’d be looking at the section/site pattern first too. Google does this weird thing where one set of pages gets punished and some obvious garbage keeps hanging around like nothing happened. Makes zero sense from the outside. If you’ve got examples of what dropped vs what stayed, that’d be the only useful part here. I mean, Otherwise it’s just the usual Google shrug.
