Yeah, I wouldn’t call that “random nonsense” either. Two sites moving together usually means shared footprint or shared content pattern getting rechecked, not some plugin ghost story. AI + light edits is exactly the kind of thing that can look fine for a bit and then just get reweighted. Ugly, but I’ve seen that bounce-then-crash pattern enough times now to not shrug it off.
