From my experience, realistically, yeah, I’ve seen that pattern too. The junk pages always seem to survive longer than the stuff you actually care about, which is just… great. I’d hold off on ripping the site apart for a bit unless it keeps sliding for a few more days. Google loves making a mess first and asking questions never.
