Well, honestly, yeah, I’d still treat it as a real drop first. GSC being flaky doesn’t usually explain a site falling off a cliff on its own. I’d check the boring stuff too — coverage, canonicals, noindex, sitemap, internal links, and any recent WP/plugin changes if that’s what you’re on.
