adrian_knoxParticipantAnyone else seeing this? A few of my pages are still ranking, but the clicks just keep dropping and the AI answer box is basically stealing the whole thing. I’m not even mad at this point, just tired of watching the numbers slide while the pages stay “fine” in Search Console. Curious if this is hitting anyone else or if I’m just in a bad patch.

ParticipantPersonally, yeah, same here. Rankings holding while clicks get kneecapped by the AI box is pretty much the new normal on a bunch of stuff. What’s annoying is GSC still makes it look like “everything’s fine” while the SERP is basically a dead end for a lot of queries. I’ve got pages sitting top 3 and CTR still just tanks once that answer shows up. Not sure there’s some magic fix either. For some queries it just feels like Google’s decided the click isn’t needed anymore.

DenParticipantWell, yeah, it’s not just you. Been seeing the same thing on a few sites — rankings look “stable” and the traffic still gets quietly murdered. Honestly the part that bugs me most is how normal GSC makes it look. Like cool, thanks, the graph’s only falling off a cliff. Could be wrong though.

DenParticipantHonestly, yeah, same here. It’s getting old fast. A few sites are still “doing fine” on paper, but the clicks are just bleeding out whenever that AI box shows up. GSC acting like everything’s normal is the annoying part — it really isn’t. If it’s across a bunch of queries, I don’t think you’re just in a bad patch. It’s more like the SERP itself changed under us and Google’s pretending that’s not the whole story. I’d keep an eye on which pages are getting hit hardest, but honestly… there’s only so much you can do when the answer gets taken before the click. Personally,

DenParticipantYeah, same story here. Rankings hanging on while clicks get gutted is basically the norm now. At this point I don’t even trust GSC to tell the full story on those pages. It’s useful, but it definitely makes the drop look cleaner than it really is.

adrian_knoxParticipantFrom what I’ve seen, yeah, it’s happening. Not every query, but enough that “stable rankings” feels kind of meaningless now. I’ve got a couple pages where the SERP looks fine in GSC and the clicks still just melt once the AI box shows up. Hard to call it a bad patch when it keeps repeating.
