Reply To: Traffic dropped hard after this update

From what I see, Yeah, that “junk survives / money pages die” pattern is ugly but it’s not some rare mystery either. I’d still be pretty hesitant to start ripping the site apart right away if it’s only been a week. Google does this nonsense where it looks like it’s just randomly favoring garbage for a bit, and then sometimes it settles, sometimes it doesn’t. Real helpful, obviously. If the drop was hard and sudden, I’d be checking: – GSC for crawl/indexing weirdness – whether the affected pages lost internal links or got buried – if the pages are still getting crawled but just not held in the same spot – whether the site got a broader reweighting instead of a page-level hit And yeah, if the pages you care about are the ones that got shoved down, that usually tells me it’s not just “one bad page” stuff. More like the site’s being judged a bit differently overall. Could be temporary, could be a real quality reset. Hard to say yet. I’d avoid panic edits though. That’s how people turn a bad week into a disaster.
