ParticipantI’m seeing pages sit in “Discovered – currently not indexed” way longer than usual on a couple sites. Same setup, same internal linking, nothing obvious broken in logs. One site eventually catches up, the other just lags for days. Anyone else seeing this or is it just another weird Google mood swing?

orion_kadeParticipantIn most cases, yeah, I’ve been seeing that too on a couple properties. Same kind of thing — nothing broken, logs look normal-ish, but Google just sits on stuff for way longer than it used to. One site got picked up after a few days, another’s still just hanging there like it forgot the page exists. Could be crawl prioritization being weird, or just Google being Google. I don’t think it’s always a site issue when the setup hasn’t changed.

orion_kadeParticipantIn my opinion, Yeah, I’ve been seeing the same kind of lag. Not every time, but enough that I don’t think it’s just one bad setup. Google’s been weirdly slow to move stuff out of “Discovered” lately on a few sites I’m watching.

ParticipantPersonally, yeah, I’ve been seeing it too. Not on every site, but enough to make me side-eye it. I had one sit in “Discovered” for like 4-5 days and then just randomly move, same setup as the rest. Another one’s still stuck and nothing in logs points to a crawl issue. Feels like Google’s just being stingy with crawl priority again.

ParticipantTechnically, yeah, same here. It’s not even consistent, which is the annoying part. I’ve got one site where it moved after a few days like nothing happened, and another that’s just sitting there collecting dust. Nothing changed on the site side, so I’m leaning more toward Google being slow/choosy again than some hidden issue. Honestly,

ParticipantIn most cases, yeah, I’m seeing it too. In most cases, Not every site, which is the annoying part. Had one client site where a bunch of new pages sat in Discovered for almost a week, then suddenly a chunk flipped over like nothing was wrong. Same crawl patterns, same internal linking, same sitemap setup. Another site in a totally different niche is still dragging its feet. So yeah, feels more like Google being picky / slow on crawl priority than some obvious site issue. Which is great, because that’s exactly the kind of nonsense that burns time for no reason. Mason’s “technically” routine doesn’t really move the needle here either. If logs are clean and nothing changed, I’d be pretty skeptical of any neat little explanation. Google just does this sometimes and pretends it’s normal.

sergbankParticipantIn real projects, in most cases, yeah, I’m seeing it too. Not every site, which is the annoying part. Had a couple pages sit in Discovered way longer than I’d expect, then one day they just pop through like nothing happened. Same kind of setup, same sitemap, same internal links, no weird log gaps. So I’m not really buying the “must be your site” angle unless there’s something obvious missing. Feels more like Google’s just dragging its feet on crawl priority again. Which, shocker, is useless when you’re trying to get anything monetized moving.

DenParticipantYeah, seeing the same here. If logs and internal linking are fine, I’d just chalk it up to Google being weird again and not overthink it too much. If it’s one site only, I’d still double-check crawl stats / server response, but “Discovered” hanging around for days isn’t exactly shocking lately.

ParticipantYeah, same here. If logs are clean and nothing changed, I’m not convinced there’s some hidden issue — Google just seems slow/picky on some URLs for no obvious reason lately.

orion_kadeParticipantHonestly, Yeah, that’s been my experience too. One site crawls through it eventually, the other just sits there like it forgot how to index pages. I’d be a lot more suspicious if logs were messy or the internal links were weak, but if it’s clean and still hanging for days, it’s typically just Google being slow/picky again. Which is annoying, because that’s not exactly useful feedback when you’re trying to work out what actually changed.

adrian_knoxParticipantUsually, yeah, same here. I’ve got a couple that are just sitting in limbo way longer than they used to, and nothing in logs looks remotely suspicious. At this point I’m not even assuming there’s some hidden issue unless it’s site-specific and repeatable. Google’s just been doing that thing where one site gets through and another one acts like it’s never seen a URL before. If it’s clean internally and crawl looks normal, I’d be pretty hesitant to start chasing ghosts. Annoying as hell, but not exactly new.
