Yeah, I’m seeing it too. Not enough to scream “Google did it,” but the timing’s definitely ugly. Usually when it spikes like this, it’s some botnet just testing the doors again and seeing what still leaks through. If the update touched anything auth-related or your anti-spam rules got a little weird, that’d be my first guess before blaming search stuff. Either way, if it’s already messy after a clean, something’s off. Keep an eye on the signup pattern — same emails, same IP ranges, same dumb post text — that usually tells you pretty quick whether it’s just a wave or an actual hole.
