I mean, yeah, same here. Not even clever spam, just a flood of junk accounts and garbage first posts trying to slip one link in. I’ve had better luck tightening registration a bit and making the first post go through manual approval, but it’s still a pain. Once they find a weak spot they just keep poking it until you plug it. If it starts getting ugly, I’d check whether it’s the same IP ranges or the same signup pattern over and over. Usually it is.
