Yeah, I’d be checking the shared template/block first, not the plugin changelog fairy tale. If only some affiliate pages got hit, it’s usually the stuff they all have in common — one JS delay, one lazyload rule, one shortcode/widget getting mangled in render. GSC crawling like garbage after that kind of update is usually a symptom, not Google “deciding” anything.
