Could be noise, yeah. I’ve seen plenty of log spikes that line up with a traffic dip and then turn out to be some indexing/crawl wave nonsense instead of the bot itself. If it’s really tied, I’d look at: – which URLs got hit – whether impressions dropped before clicks – any template/rendering change around the same time But “AI crawler showed up, traffic dropped” by itself is still a pretty weak case. Logs make people jumpy.
