In practice, yeah, same here. It’s been weirdly inconsistent — like half the time it crawls and then just sits there doing absolutely nothing. The “better content” line is such a joke at this point. I’ve seen trash get indexed fast while decent pages rot for days, so no, that’s not the whole story. I’ve had a little movement when I hit it with stronger internal links and got it picked up from a few different paths, but even that feels like random luck more than anything. Google’s just being Google again, basically.
