Personally, Usually, yeah, I’ve seen that too. Usually it’s not some magical “site quality” event, it’s a query cluster or page group getting shuffled and GSC makes it look like the whole thing fell off a cliff. I’d check logs + a few landing page buckets before touching content. Google does this dumb little “temporary reset” thing way too often. That’s how I look at it.
