I mean, probably still worth checking site-side first, even if it *feels* like an update. If GSC isn’t showing a clean drop across the board, I’d be looking at canonicals / internal links / template changes before I blame Google. Those “a bunch of pages just stopped moving” cases are usually some boring mess, not a big update. At least from what I’ve seen.
