Yeah, that’s been popping up a lot more lately. We had a weird little run of it on one client forum a couple weeks back and it was the same junk every time — fresh account, no bio, then some garbage post that looked like it was stitched together by a half-broken bot. I’d be suspicious of the “basic anti-spam” stuff more than the forum itself, honestly. A lot of it looks like it’s working until it isn’t. If nothing changed on your end, I wouldn’t panic yet. But I’d still check whether: – new users can post too fast – registration got loosened somehow – links are allowed in first posts – email verification is actually doing anything – your plugin didn’t quietly update and make a mess Also, if it’s WordPress, I’d 100% look at the registration path. We’ve had junk come in through some weird side route before while everyone was staring at the normal signup form. Classic nonsense. Could just be a wave. Or it could be one weak setting getting abused. Usually it’s one of those two, not some grand mystery. At least from what I’ve seen.
