Yeah, I’ve seen that too. The annoying part is when it’s not a clean “sitewide tanked forever” thing, it’s just some ugly dip that makes no sense and then half the pages start acting weird in Search Console. If it’s one of those sudden drops with no changes, I usually check crawl stats, indexing, and whether impressions got bled off on a handful of money queries before I even bother looking at content. Half the time it’s not “bad content,” it’s Google being twitchy with how it’s classifying the site that day. And yeah, the “just improve your content” crowd always shows up like they’ve never seen a site…
