Yeah, “nothing changed” usually means something changed anyway, just not where you’re looking. I’d be checking logs / crawl hits before I start blaming Google again. If it’s a plugin thing, it’s often some dumb header, canonicals, noindex, or busted rendering from cache/minify junk. Seen that way too many times.
