Reply To: Weird traffic drop after plugin update?

Yeah, I’d still put money on the update doing *something* ugly before I blame Google. Had one plugin update silently change the output on a bunch of pages for me — nothing looked broken in the browser, but the source was a mess and rankings got weird for a couple days. Check the affected pages in view-source, not just the live page. And if axelrowan’s already waving off “Google being Google,” I’m with him on that part. Usually it’s not some mystical algo mood swing, it’s a site change.
