Reply To: Traffic dropped after indexing finally caught up

…been picking the wrong canonical half the time, then “fixing” it later after the damage is already done. Seen that more than once. Especially with WP setups that have a bunch of archive/tag/category junk floating around. Crawl looks busy, GSC looks “healthy,” then traffic drops and everyone acts shocked like Google was supposed to reward the mess forever. Den’s right on that part, annoying as it is. The update just makes the site’s actual shape more obvious.
