Reply To: Traffic dropped after AI crawl spikes

Kind of feels like yeah, I’d be pretty cautious about drawing a straight line from “AI bot showed up” to “traffic tanked.” I’ve had log spikes from that stuff and the dip was just… normal Google nonsense. One site had a crawl burst, then a week later traffic slid, and it turned out to be a rendering issue on a bunch of money pages. Super fun. If impressions moved first, I’d care.
