I’m seeing more and more query traffic just vanish into the AI results lately. Not even the usual “ranking dropped” thing — it’s like the click never happens. What’s weird is some of the pages that used to pull decent affiliate clicks are still ranking fine, but the actual traffic is just softer. Hard to tell if this is just Google being Google or if the whole retrieval layer is changing how people even bother…

Yeah, seeing the same thing. It’s not even a clean ranking loss half the time, which is the annoying part. GSC looks “fine” enough and then the clicks just get shaved off like people never leave the SERP anymore. I’ve had a couple affiliate pages that used to be pretty steady and now they just feel dead unless they’re a very specific query. Google’s basically turning more searches into zero-click junk and calling it progress.

Personally, yeah, and the annoying part is it’s not even a clean “u got hit” situation. I’ve got a couple pages still sitting in the same spots and the clicks are just… gone. Feels like the SERP itself is doing the stealing now instead of some obvious ranking drop. Nathan’s right on that part, unfortunately.
